All the NHL teams will be represented at the canine hockey game, and the 16 pups representing the qualified teams for the Stanley Cup Playoffs 2024 will engage in a friendly competition. All the furry friends participating in the Stanley Pup are rescues, and several will be available for adoption.

Moreover, it will surely be a fun watch as several celebrity dog enthusiasts will make an appearance in the hour-long special. According to the NHL’s official announcement, Miranda Lambert, Kristin Chenoweth, and Mickey Guyton will be at the Stanley Pup.

The canine hockey game will air on June 7 at 8 p.m. ET. People in the United States can catch the friendly hockey competition for pups on NHL Network and ESPN+. On June 8, it will also be broadcast in Canada on Sportsnet at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Petco Love will scout the dogs from across the U.S. with the help of its partner shelters. The aim of the Stanley Pup is to showcase the variety of pups available for adoption. Potential adopters can learn more about the rescue dogs on Petco Love’s website. The president of the non-profit, Susanne Kogut, noted, “Everyone can be a champion in the life of a pet. When you adopt a pet from your local shelter, everyone wins!”
