Luna Moona’s addition to Stewart’s family first came to light on Feb. 29, when Stewart took to Instagram to introduce her new furry companion. With an adorable picture of the French Bulldog, Stewart expressed her excitement, “Luna Moona is the latest addition to the family. She is a fabulous Frenchie with a superb personality.” Stewart’s post further detailed how well Luna Moona had adjusted to her new surroundings, gaining the affection of not only Stewart but also the rest of her animal companions. They include two Chow Chows, a cat named Empress Tang, and Luna Moona’s older French Bulldog sisters.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in October 2023, she shared insights into her life with her pet peacocks, revealing a unique bond characterized by mutual communication through sounds. “They’re very friendly birds — and they talk to me,” she remarked. Continuing, she added, “Whenever I go by their enclosure, I talk to them. I go, ‘Awk, awk.’ I make their noise, and they talk right back to me.”
Moreover, Luna Moona joins an eclectic mix of animal companions under Stewart’s care, showing how her home continues to be a place of love and care for animals, big and small.
