Thermo Pet Throw

Our take: Since I tested these, K&H has come out with a new model. Within two minutes of being plugged into my car’s cigarette lighter, the old Heated Auto-RV Pet Bedwarmed up nicely and the cord reached easily into my back seat, but that’s not hard to accomplish with a little Honda. I imagine that this newer model, which is more of a blanket, offers more efficiency. It operates on 12 volts and the cord doesn’t get in the way of using a stick shift. You don’t need an RV to enjoy this. It also has a standard plug for use at home, so it’s quite versatile.

The dogs weigh in: Fred, of course, wandered around the back seat and refused to stay in one place on the bed. Ginger didn’t want to use it, I think, but she tends to hop around the back seat to bark at dogs.

Cost: high
