The actor jokingly noted that the duo had more eras than Taylor Swift in the 18 years they were together. Meeka died peacefully with her family by her side. In the goodbye post, Jenna Dewan thanked her beloved dog for making their last moments together memorable. She said, “Somehow, even in your last moments, you knew what I needed.”

Meeka’s passing comes a few years after the sudden death of Violet Mae, the couple’s previous pet, per People. Violet belonged to Steve Kazee, and he had her with him since she was a puppy. Jenna Dewan adopted the dog into her family when the couple started seeing each other.
