Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey are grieving the loss of one of their adopted dogs. The 38-year-old Role Play actress and the 41-year-old Ozark actor took to social media on Thursday, Feb. 1, to share statements regarding the incident.

Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey informed their fans on Instagram about the passing of the first dog they ever rescued together. He was called Kingy, and according to Cuoco, he was “the most special” doggo.
Cuoco recounted the story of adopting the pup with Pelphrey, recalling how she came across him online while in Germany, trembling in an Atlanta shelter. She immediately contacted the facility, requesting they hold him until her return, as they knew they had to bring him home. She also shared a video on her Instagram Story, capturing the memorable moment of their first meeting with the canine.
In the video, the shy pup approached her cautiously, sniffing her face before they exchanged affectionate snuggles. Cuoco expressed regret in her caption, stating they didn’t have him for as long as they’d hoped. The Instagram carousel showcased photos of Cuoco, Pelphrey, and their daughter Matilda, who was born on March 30, 2023, and Kingy and other pets.
In addition, Cuoco also discussed the difficulties of adopting an older dog compared to a puppy, particularly concerning medical issues.
