Brie Larson Reveals Her Dog’s Name

Actor Brie Larson recently appeared on ”The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and revealed her new rescue dog‘s name. “I’m sorry to have kept him from you, but his name is Six-Thirty,” said Larson, who named her dog after her character’s dog in Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed series, ”Lessons in Chemistry.”

In the show, protagonist Elizabeth Zott names her dog Six-Thirty because he wakes her up every morning at that time. With the SAG-AFTRA strike ending on Nov. 9, 2023, Larson feared she would be ”breaking the strike” if she’d spoken about her dog publicly earlier.

Brie Larson says her dog chose his own name

“The Marvels” star claimed that her dog chose his own name, jokingly describing it as ”totally absurd and inappropriate.” She said she tried different kinds of names, but the pup did not respond to any of them, until Larson’s best friend weighed in.

”My best friend, who is a food consultant on ”Lessons in Chemistry,” she saw him and was like, ‘Oh, my gosh! He’s Six-Thirty!’ And he looked up,” the Larson told Fallon. Although Larson and her friends continued trying out various names, but the dog only responded to Six-Thirty.

”His vet thinks it’s ridiculous. His vet is confused,” Larson said. “The receptionist would go, ‘Your Six-Thirty’s here.’ And he’s like, ‘It’s 2 o’clock, I don’t know what that means.’ It’s confusing.”
