A study conducted by Our Fit Pets – by examining hashtags of 568 million Instagram posts – will answer this question for us.

The 10 Most Popular Dog Breeds On Instagram
- French Bulldog This should come as no surprise as the French Bulldog was named the most popular dog breed in the United States in 2023 (via CNBC). Throw some cute pajamas on them and see your likes pile up.
- Golden Retriever Friendly, loyal, and game to do pretty much their family needs, the Golden Retriever is ready for whatever adventure you have planned.
- Chihuahua They might be the smallest dogs on the list, but if you’re looking for a watchdog, you won’t find a better alarm in a tinier package than the Chihuahua. Their diminutive size can’t contain their lion hearts.
- Pug The stand up comedians of the dog world? Possibly. Definitely an “open mic” kind of dog. Goofy and playful with a wonderful since of humor, the Pug stays Instagram ready.
- Bulldog You won’t see any Bulldog on Instagram driving any cattle to market as they were originally used any time soon. You’re more than likely see this breed asleep on the couch or playing with their favorite tiny humans.
