Our take: A water-resistant nylon cover holds two side-by-side 2-inch high containers of cedar chips with 1.5 inches high of crate foam between the cover and cedar. I don’t think a dog could possibly be uncomfortable on this thing unless she’s the Princess from the Princess and the Pea, and even then she’d be a real whiner. The cover is machine washable and line dries quickly. This solidly constructed bed is a great value.

The dogs weigh in: Because this was designed to fit Pet Gear’s crates and the self-contained Home Pet ‘n Play Area we set up for Clint to use (because he was blind and incontinent), he used it every night, and didn’t complain once
