Twilight star adopts a dog

According to his Twitter page, Twilight Saga actor Alex Meraz has adopted a dog.

“I recently adopted a beautiful lil puppy!” Meraz said in a post on Tuesday. “I’m gonna be like a Hollywood chick and stuff her in my man-purse.”

Meraz also posted a photo of his new dog, which is hardly “man-purse” size; it appears to be a full-sized German Shepherd.

Meraz plays Paul Lahote, a shape-shifting member of a werewolf pack, in four of the Twilight films – New Moon, Eclipse, and both parts of Breaking Dawn.
