In 2015 Police officers and animal control in Cocoa, Florida found three pit bulls stuck in a sewer drain on the side of a highway. A police officer heard the dogs barking as he was diving by and stopped to investigate. That’s when he found the three dogs huddled in the sewer drain. They had to call the CoCoa Fire Rescue team in to open the drain to help get the dogs out and then Brevard County Animal Services took the pups from there.

Nobody knows how the dogs got into the sewer, possibly through some manholes nearby. Luckily the dogs were all in good shape. The large dogs needed a little help from rescuers to jump out of the hole and nobody knows how long they were in the hole before they were rescued.
