Paul McCartney Adopts Dog in Summer Full of Celeb Pet Rescues

Last week, musical icon Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell adopted a rescue dog. The couple found their fur-ever friend at a Los Angeles-based rescue — the Labelle Foundation. McCartney and his spouse are ecstatic about welcoming a new member into their family. This announcement comes in what seems like a wave of celebrity dog adoptions this summer.

Jenna was the Managing Editor of DogTime.com and CatTime.com from June 2023 through December 2024. She is the proud helicopter dog mom of her rescue pups Washington and Goldie Hawn. She grew up in rural North Carolina on a family farm, which is where her love of animals became apparent as she quite literally endeavored to save every abandoned fur baby within the farm's proximity.
