Philanthropist, actress, and country music icon Dolly Parton has launched a new pet line, Doggy Parton. It’s just as playful as you’d expect, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit dogs and other pets in need.

A Fun & Fabulous Line of Dog Accessories, Toys & Clothing

“‘Puppy Love’ was my very first record, and six decades later, my love for pets is stronger than ever. This inspired me to start my own line of Doggy Parton apparel, accessories, toys, and more with a little ‘Dolly’ flair,” Parton said in a press release. “Part of the proceeds will support Willa B Farms, a rescue where animals in need find never-ending love. Don’t we all need that?”

Dolly partnered with SportPet Designs to create a collection of 20 items. Choices include a range of fetching clothing items, toys, and accessories, including bright pink harnesses, a bubblegum-pink cowgirl hat, guitar- and high-heel-shaped plush toys, and a blonde Dolly wig.

Parton isn’t a dog mom herself, but she is an avid animal lover. She’s also godmother to a French Bulldog, Billy the Kid. Billy belongs to Danny Nozell, Dolly’s longtime manager, and is the Doggy Parton brand ambassador.

“(He) accompanies Dolly to many media interviews, joins her in business meetings with Danny, and gets very excited when he sees his ‘Dolly Mama’!” the press release stated. “He loves to get dressed up for Dolly!”

Proceeds Benefit Displaced Animals

Willa B Farms Animal Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization in Dolly’s home state, Tennessee. The sanctuary rescues a range of animals in need, including horses, goats, chickens, pigs, dogs, cats, and tortoises, giving them a loving forever home.

Several of the sanctuary’s animals are adoptable. People can also sponsor animals to contribute to their care, including feeding and veterinary needs.

The Doggy Parton line is currently available on Amazon. A website is coming soon.
