One Wisconsin shelter is offering discounted dog adoptions for a limited time to make it easier for families to add a new furry friend to their homes, CBS58 reports.
Lakeland Animal Shelter is reducing its adoption fee for dogs to $100. It applies to those who’ve been residing at the shelter for over six months. However, the deal won’t apply to puppies under six months old.
Usual Adoption Procedures Still Apply at Lakeland Animal Shelter
Prospective adopters must still go through the regular adoption process if they want a new pup. This involves submitting an application and waiting up to 48 hours for approval. In addition, of course, they must meet the dog beforehand to ensure they’re a good fit together.
If you’re interested, you can visit the Lakeland Animal Shelter website and complete the dog adoption form. Once the application gets approved, you can visit the shelter during open hours to meet the dog. All members of the household need to be present.
